Parasite, Fungal and Bacterial infections must be assessed and addressed in individuals experiencing seizures.  There are over 60 studies researching the effects of parasites and bacterials infections and their impact on seizures.  There are over 200 studies identifying the association between fungal infections and seizures.  There is a movement in identifying the health of the bacteria and the digestive system and I’m reading in numerous forums that , in the best interest of their children, parents are attempting to restore the balance, many times without testing.   It’s essential to not “guess” but rather test for bacterial, fungal and parasitic infections.  It’s crucial to identify the infection; address it, heal and restore the balance in the digestive system.  I’ve had much success with doing just so with clients of all ages.

In this study “Anything causing structural or functional derangement of brain physiology may lead to seizures, and different conditions may express themselves solely by recurrent seizures and thus be labelled “epilepsy.”

In a recent study published the authors refer to “maternal-fetal yeast infection [as being] directly associated with an increased risk for epilepsy in childhood and [further] that some patients have medically intractable epilepsy”.

In  this research “Multiple factors influence the outcome of fungal infection of the central nervous system (CNS).  The fungal infections discussed included Cryptococcal and Candida meningitis and for rhinocerebral infection with Mucor and Aspergillus.  This association warrants further investigation into children that may be experiencing fungal infections.

This research:  Infections of the brain – by bacteria, viruses, and parasites – can be associated with seizures. In some cases, the seizures are a result of the infection; in other cases, the evidence suggests that the seizures are a result of the brain reaction to the infection.

An organic acids test can indicate the presence of specific bacterial and fungal infections among identifying the ability of the body to absorb fatty acids, release oxalates, absorb essential micronutrients, detoxify, be energized and so much more.   Stay tuned for a webinar…

Be well,
