I spent the weekend reading “Medical Medium”. It’s a remarkable healing guide to numerous chronic health issues. Rather than based on science, it’s based strictly on spiritual direction that Anthony Williams has been receiving since age 4. The recovery stories are dozens of thousands and are remarkable.

What he recommends to recover from neurological healing is extremely similar to my protocols. But I also learned a few important aspects of direction.
Yes, total stress load is entirely relevant.  In functional nutrition I must address as many stress-ors as possible.  Anthony Williams reinforces that Infections are the root cause of all chronic health issues. He includes heavy metals, MSG, mold, mercury, bacterial and viruses.  He extrapolates to more specific viruses including Epstein Barr Virus and the Shingles Virus. I’ve been aware of these two viruses and understood the prevalence of their existence. Still Anthony Williams places significant evidence on these viruses as the root causes of all chronic health conditions.  He mentions specifically that mercury is a leading source of seizure disorders.

Per my protocols,  identifying all stressors are critical.   I also look for as many infections as science can identify.  I use a heavy metal test to assess for mercury poisoning and an organic acid test to assess for bacterial, fungal infections.  But suppose I find a yeast or bacterial infection in testing and also begin to assume that there are other viruses present that may be at the root cause of illness? I’ve been lamenting this theory for quite some time and subtly have introduced it with clients.

Reading the Medical Medium book has reinforced this emphasis.  I’ve been researching natural interventions that can help draw out mercury, that can eradicate Epstein Barr Virus and Shingles in addition to addressing infections that are identified through testing.  And  I’m excited about this next turn in my practice.

In addition, Anthony Williams is a huge proponent of juicing which provides antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and sugar to the brain.  He argues (controversially) that “fat” is not the answer, but rather “sugar” is (in the form of fruits and vegetables).  It contradicts much of the scientific literature that shows the effectiveness of the ketogenic diet and what many families report.  But does it?

I grappled with this argument for 24 hours.  But then I considered that the Gerson Therapy (juicing pounds of vegetables and fruits) can end stage 4 cancers (I’ve read much literature on its effectiveness). And I understand  that the brain needs blood flow, oxygen and glucose.   I also worked with Dr. Lawrence Wilson when my son first became ill.  He’s a huge proponent of juicing as well as restoring biochemistry with added supports.  He was an excellent support for us and I too believe in his practices.  In other words, juicing may be an excellent compliment to my current practices but will certainly not change direction of my current practices.

I’ll continue researching and sharing.

Much light,
Lynn
