In my webinar I included a science based study entitled “Oligoantigenic diet treatment of children with epilepsy and migraines”.  The results concluded that a total elimination diet STOPPED recurrent seizures in more than 55% of the children that exhibited symptoms other than seizures (migraines, abdominal symptoms, hyperkinetic behavior).  These results are astounding.

Another study, conducted in 2008 entitled “Fatty acid deficiency profile in children with food allergy managed with elimination diets” concluded that fatty acid deficiencies resulted from children with food allergies.  A deficiency in fatty acids is a major risk factor contributing to growth , neurological  and cardiovascular problems.

Food senstivities/allergies are just one of 10 chronic sources of inflammation that need to be explored with children and adults experiencing seizures.  For some it may be the only factor that needs to be explored to greatly reduce or altogether stop seizures.
