Believing that what your child or that you are going through could be temporary is difficult to believe especially when you are faced with seizures regularly.
I admit that since I’ve launched this forum specific to “Nutrition for Seizures” I’ve opened up a few old wounds and memories. Our daughter was in the third grade when are son was at the worst of his seizure disorder. I would pick up my favorite book at the time “Think and Grow Rich” and re-read how Edison failed 10,000 times before he invented the lightbulb, how Henry Ford developed the engine that he was told was impossible or the son of the author who was told he would never be able hear co-developed the hearing aid.
My daughter had come home from school with a brand new dictionary and proudly showed it to me. In a moment of strength I asked her to go get a sharpee marker. I asked her to find the word “impossible” and black it out. She looked at me surprised but so pleased that the world was indeed full of what’s possible.
